Awaiting Nara's Return

Yes. It is an empty feeling when a blog is not updated. I've been checking Nara's blog every day in case she would post something from China but knowing that she can't. It is an empty feeling. And I agree with Nara 100%. We look forward to frequent updates from anyone closer to home.

While awaiting for Nara and Chris's return, pictures and videos were taken. On this post, I
will only send pictures.
Some may have seen this picture of Osker who refuses to cross this little bridge in order to walk on the other side of the river. There was NO WAY that we could talk him into following us. So, we had to take the following measure. And it's not the first time that we had to carry him. It's a matter of showing him how he can trust us to cross over but he doesn't feel that it's a safe bridge to cross.

Hahaha. Yep! He has to be carried and he's not light either. I think now we will not use this bridge as we think that some children are removing some boards. The safety of this bridge is getting worst and we will also follow Osker's instinct.

And while Nara has been away, as I have mentioned earlier, I've kept busy taking pictures and videos.

Last week, Cornwall had a launch off that included amusement park for the children, musicians like "Loverboys" one night and "Colin James" the night after. We enjoyed Colin James band a lot and also the hot air ballon rides were on. I would like to go into one of these balloons next year and take pictures from above.

Isn't this inviting for either boating or swimming? This picture was taken on a beautiful Sunday morning near T.J.' s restaurant in Summerstown. It is relaxing to sit outside and see motor boats go by and birds flying very low near the water in search of food.

Now that I have said what I had to say, with a little bit of criticism from the start, I will end with a more serene picture for anyone to relax and ponder near the water.

On vacation

One week on vacation and it feels unreal as I have to settle into a new routine. Our little Montessori students had their graduation day on Monday morning. Crafts were made by all and displayed in the following manner.

Game stations were everywhere on the lawn as children played instead of studying before they had a
nice lunch. Parents brought over fresh leafy salads to be made just before serving along with fruits. Children had mini hamburgers while adults were served chicken pizzas, plain pizzas, couscous salad, bean salads and ice cream for everyone. Then everyone could head home at 2:00. It was then time for us to sit down and enjoy a glass of cooler or beer. Here are more pictures of that playday. And while the children have had their fun to play and enjoy themselves, I on the other hand started a new program for the summer with a friend.

Now this is our first early morning try 7:30 that is, of Nordic walking. Yes. We walk with poles and believe me, we got asked where we left our skis. Doesn't matter. With this exercise we burn an average of 20% more calories than during a regular walk and get all the benefits of an upper body workout, with less stress on the knees. Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for aqua fitness.

Also during my first week of vacation my friend and I went strawberry picking and of course, we ate some as well. I ate one for Nara as she used to come with me for this ritual.

It's time again to take Osker for another walk. The camera is not far anymore since you never know what one can see during just a simple, leisurely walk.
