Halloween
First it was the rain that we thought would put a damper to the evening but it wasn't the case. At around 6:30, we had our first visitors.
Reed on the right comes for french lessons. Then I had the idea of walking to town with Osker to get more pictures.
Near our neighbour's house we spotted Mairyn, Riley and Avery, girls from my school. This was encouraging. I decided to keep on going further.
Then it was Alex and his brother Christopher. I had to take Christopher's picture from the back since it's so cute.
It was so adorable. And who do I see running and saying Madame......
Evan and his little brother Collin. So so CUTE these kids are I'm telling you. And Collin had so many things to tell me and Osker was sniffing for food all along.
It's not the little kids that I feel a little shy to ask for pictures but it's teenagers or young adults.
But so far, no one refuses which is encouraging. By the way, I wanted to walk along the Paradis' house where the scary music was coming from but Osker refused to go further. He stopped dead on his track not wanting to move an inch. Hahaha he wanted to warn me of coming danger.

So I spotted these two in front of the pub. This fellow wanted me to help him remove the wrench from his hand. When I refused, hahaha he said I was mean. For his punishment, I demanded that they pose for this picture.
Walking back home in front of the church I really thought that there would be no more picture taking but I was wrong. As soon as Scotty said hello, Osker didn't hesitate to drag me along. He asked if I wanted a drink and kept insisting. I said that all I wanted was a picture of him and this girl that was beside him.
So all in all, the moral of the story is. Never be afraid to ask. A no is only a no, nothing else. You still gain by asking not the person who refuses.

It's Friday
On this cold and wet Friday afternoon, I am sending my bloggers a touch of sunshine that we were taking for granted.
Along came also the warmth from the sun which could make one believe that we will never have a winter. Wishful thinking guys. But, on this wet afternoon, I decided to get wet and capture this picture just to show that I still have a spot of colors near my kitchen door.

Recently while walking with Osker, we happened to hear busy quacking coming from down below the bridge. As we came closer, here is what we saw.
I know it's hard to detect but there are seven of them busy washing.
And sometimes, Osker and I sits on a bench at the grocery store just to talk to people or eat an ice cream cone Shhhhhhh.....
I couldn't resist ending this blog with flying colors. I should say I wanted to end this blog with flying colors but it's not the case anymore.
Our first snow falling at the front of our house.
And at the back. This snow is accumulating quite rapidly. I guess it will not be supper in town tonight.
Just 10 minutes and the grass is being covered in no time.
Beautiful but.......

Thanksgiving Weekend
How lucky we are to have warm and sunny weather on this thanksgiving weekend. We have been taking many long walks in town and admiring the changing leaves near the river.
Right above us we could hear thousand and thousand of quacking.
An army of Canada geese were coming in groups like it was never ending. You mostly hear them early morning or near sunset.
These are the best variety of pumpkins to make good pumpkin pies with. The painters didn't have time to finish our deck so I decided to put back part of my decoration knowing that I will have to remove all of it Monday morning. That's step no. 1

This is step no. 2. The cutting and roasting the seeds a little later for a nice treat.
The step no. 3 gives a nice aroma in the kitchen. The next morning will be for making the pies.
Step no. 4 was done Sunday morning for our Thanksgiving supper. I wanted to have a piece right there and then but I wouldn't have been a good sport right?
And step no. 5 is the best one of all. The tasting of it along with whipped cream.
And while my friend and I visited the apple orchard Sunday afternoon, we saw different kinds of pumpkins.
Some are for competitions like this one who may weight 200 lbs.
Others are for the looks.
And while we are all busy preparing for this feast, guess what Wiley decided to do instead of going outside like he normally does.
He decided to lay on Osker's favorite carpet being watched by him. He didn't care a bit since he often lets the cats drink from his bowl.
And yesterday was so nice while visiting the orchard that is located right on top of the hill that I stopped to take this picture of the St. Lawrence.
And Mums are everywhere right now to have, to see, and admire.
